This image highlights my passion for creating a safe space where students can freely express themselves with empathy and take root in life-long learning to open the door to global citizenship and an abundance mentality. The depiction of the tree is symbolic whereby my hand represents its trunk from which roots form in the ground to nourish and nurture the leaves (students) as it continues to flourish for years to come. The leaves are symbolized by multi-colored hearts of various sizes that also represent my commitment to students of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Each heart-leaf is symbolic of each student as love. The differences in the colors and sizes of the leaves represent the beauty, harmony and unity found when collaboration is centered on equity and mutual respect. This tree also represents my commitment to sustainability and to the collective responsibility of looking after our environment for our students' future.
